You purchased your Viv Collective pillow cover. Now your on the hunt for the perfect insert to elevate the appearance of your pillow to its fullest potential. In todays blog post we are going to cover the best materials and sizing for pillow inserts. PILLOW INSERT SIZE GUIDE
For a full plump look, choose an insert that is 2 inches larger than the size of the pillow cover. For example if you purchase a pillow cover that is 20x20, purchase a pillow insert that measures 22x22 inches. For Lumbar pillow covers we recommend buying an insert thats the same size as the pillow cover.

CHOOSING THE RIGHT FILL MATERIAL:
The most important things we want out of our inserts are density, weight, comfort, nice corners and chop-ability. The premium options for pillow inserts include down alternative and feather. They will both provide body and fullness. It will come down to your personal preference and budget as a down alternative will be more affordable than feather.
For feather inserts the ideal ratio for stuffing is 90% feather and 10 % down. It’s the ideal amount firmness while still remaining plush. If allergies are a concern the next best option would be down alternative. We have linked our favorites below!
