Ingredients:

  • 3 Ripe hass avocados

  • 1/4 Purple onion

  • 2 Jalapeños ( you can add more or less jalapeños depending on the level of spiciness that you like)

  • 2 Tomatoes

  • 1 Small bunch of Cilantro

  • 1 Lime ( fresh Limes are a must)

  • Salt

  • Fresh tortilla chips

  Instructions:

  1. The key to making the best molcajete guacamole is to start by “asando” (roasting) your jalapeños and tomatoes. Roast on all sides and remove from heat. Wait for them to cool for about 5 min. Then peel roasted jalapeños and tomatoes.

  2. Finely chop your onion and cilantro.

  3. Add salt to your molcajete and mash your peeled jalapeños, and tomatoes.

  4. Then add to avocado and mash all together.

  5. Add freshly squeezed lime juice, and a good amount of salt. Stir everything together.

*If you do not own a molcajete you can still make this recipe by chopping all of the ingredients together with a large knife.
